North Sydney Physie
North Sydney Physie will celebrate its 19th year in 2023! We believe in Friendship, Fitness and Fun! We encourage all our students to work hard each lesson, and enjoy themselves in the process. Click here to read our mission statement.
We run classes in Northbridge catering for students as young as 3yrs, right up to Ladies. Physie combines elements of several different kinds of dance such as ballet, jazz, contemporary and Pilates.
We strongly encourage all students to participate in team competitions which foster a sense of community within the club. Each dancer belongs and is welcome, regardless of age, ability or experience.

“My daughter has enjoyed “Physie” at North Sydney since she began two years ago. The club is full of friendly girls and she has made many new friends in her class. The teachers are excellent. They are enthusiastic, knowledgeable and encouraging of each girl’s abilities. The girls participate in all activities with a positive spirit and pride that is generated from the teachers who model these values. I know she will continue to enjoy the fun of each class and be challenged by the new routines and performances throughout the year. We feel very lucky to belong to such a lovely group of people and look forward to the inevitable growth and success of the club.”

“I did physie as a child for years but forgot about it for decades. Then when my eldest daughter was 4 years old I was looking for a dancing school in the North Sydney area and my mum showed me an advertisement for North Sydney Physie. I have three daughters and they all do physie now and love it. It allows them to exercise and dance at the same time, which is something they really enjoy. The North Sydney Physie teachers are all really lovely and spend a lot of time developing the girls in terms of dance but perhaps more importantly they emphasis fun and teamwork more than anything else.”

“Our girls (aged 7 & 5) have been participating in “physie” since the age of 3…and THEY LOVE IT! The friendships they have made, the enthusiasm of the teachers, and the fabulous routines they learn combine to make an awesome experience year after year. The competitions are fabulous too – a great way for them to learn about teamwork and trying your best – not something that is available with many sports at this age – especially for girls.”
