Ashlee Stretch
Ashlee Stretch – Bio
Ashlee was only 4yrs old when she started Physie at the Merrylands Physical Culture Club. She wanted to be a ballerina but gave Physie a try instead and developed a passion for it which has lasted a lifetime. Under the instruction of Betty Graham she represented Merrylands, Pendle Hill, Baulkham Hills, and Parramatta Club. Ashlee also represented Guilford Physical Culture Club as a Senior under the instruction of Isobel Bugden.
As a Junior, Ashlee consistently qualified in Zone finals, and made an appearance at National level as a 14 year old. She had a break from Physie at age 23, and returned to the sport at 31. Since she returned, she has had an exceptional run of appearances at National level. She has qualified for Nationals almost every year since her comeback, and made the National Final in 2010, 2008 & 2007. She has also been part of many successful teams including NSP’s first ladies team in 2011, gaining 6th place.
Ashlee joined NSP in 2011 and quickly became an active member of the club, helping out at camps, showcase, teams, champion girl and other events. Her daughter Victoria also attends NSP, and has an impressive run of achievements herself.
Ashlee brings a wealth of experience to the club, as well as an infectious passion and commitment to the sport. Ashlee believes that the principles of friendship, fitness and fun, and the underlying discipline of Physical Culture help stand girls in good stead to become successful and confident young women.
In 2012 Ashlee will be teaching 3-4yrs, 5-6yrs, 7-8yrs, and relief teaching for other age groups.
